Authentic experiences around Reykjavik with My Uncle
Would you like to experience some interesting places around Reykjavik away from the beaten tracks? It could include visit to an old crater of a sleeping volcano, a lake, a cave, a bird cliff, geothermal area...
My Uncle takes up to 3 guests in his good old Suzuki Vitara and takes you on five hours explorative journey around Reykjavik. If the weather is good the tour will include two hours of hiking. So be prepared with good walking boots and rain/ wind jacket, as well as some warm clothing.
My uncle will offer you a sandwich and coffee during the tour. You will hear stories about Icelanders and the hidden people and about the natural forces that are shaping Iceland. Where will we go? It depends on the weather. If the weather permits your uncle will most likely take you to the Reykjanes Peninsula. If not, there are interesting places closer to Reykjavik better shielded from the wind.
My Uncle will pick you up at place you select at about 10 am. Our first stop will be the Natural Historic Museum in Kópavogur where we will learn about the nature of the area and plan our tour.
